1. Sending her money. Do not give money to somebody who you met via Internet. Remember that a sincere lady would not beg; she has too much proper pride. Besides, she has already lived for more than twenty years without your “help”. Why would she need you now? Any Russian girl who asks you for currency is only trying to deceive you. A former Soviet Union girl does not consider you two to be together until you have seen one another in person! Would you give money to a girl from your country that you had just met? Remember about it. It is simply not smart and can bring you trouble (and makes the girls consider it is simple and encourages more of the same behavior).
2. Not interrogating. You are searching for a help mate, not someone to just spend the time. Former Soviet Union ladies are serious (for the most part) and they expect the same respect. Concentrating on your attainments only will work on girls from the US, the most shallow and windy women in the world! This is not the US, there is no need to impress these girls with possessions! 4. Not preparing seriously for a visit. Do you know that in order to bring her to the US as your bride, you have to visit her in her country? Yes, it is the only possible way she can get a visa to come to the USA. An Eastern European lady, if she is serious, will talk about meeting in person. You must be prepared to go to her country in the future. A lady will generally give you about 6 months to tell her you will come. After that a few more months to prepare. If you make her wait longer period she will consider you are not serious and probably move on to a man she would consider is more serious! So be ready physically and monetarily.
5. Not having an emergency plan. It's a huge mistake! If you finally go to Russia or Ukraine, you can't know what will wait for you there. Be sure to get some unexpected experiences! No matter how many letters you have exchanged with your bride or how many times you called her, once you see her in real life, things will change. It's possible that you both look at each other and understand it will not work. Your plan B will protect you if it happens. And do not make a journey just for one woman (unless you have already met). Meet two or three. Try to be on good terms with at least one of the local agencies in the city you will be visiting. Write down their address and phone numbers. Then, if something unexpected happens, you will be able to contact another service and meet other girls.
